This winter wedding by the lake was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve done yet. From beginning to end there was just an overwhelming sense of joy and love that filled the air.
These two kept their wedding intimate which brought along a sense of closeness. I was able to get to know the people that were important in their life and understand why they were there.
Ashley and Adam are the the kind of people that you meet and feel like you’ve known them for years. Instantly, I could tell that Ashley would be the person who would drop everything for you. She is someone with such a big heart and the kind of person you want to keep in your life.
Although their wedding was in the winter, they didn’t get the snow we usually get in December. BUT we got this beautiful golden sunshine that peaked through the clouds that we usually don’t get either!
During their wedding, my goal was to just be a witness. Just witness the different moments that were passing by. Because I did this I really got to notice the moments that are now my favorite.
The moment that Ashley was surrounded by her girls and they were saying a prayer before she would walk down the aisle. When Adam’s mom was sitting quietly in the corner as he was surrounded by important men in his life also saying a prayer. The second Ashley peeked through the doors to see her guests so excitedly. Adam’s uncontrollable smile anytime he would see her. Ashely couldn’t stop hugging Adam and saying “WE’RE MARRIED!!!”. Throughout the day there were moments just like this. Glimpses of true love.
I am so thankful to be a witness to moments and winter days like this.
