Why I do what I do+ getting into photography

Getting into photography

I don’t know why I thought about getting into photography. It was on a whim if I’m being honest. I started to spark my interest into photography when I was 15. Over the summer I just grabbed my dads older cannon rebel and right away wanted to learn more. No I didn’t always have the passion. But once I picked up the camera I wanted to create a business and grow it to be a successful job.

I kind of have a love of creating something from nothing to grow it into something so great. You bet I would go all out on those Farm vill and My sims games. You’ll have to check out the house I built for my sim family!! But it is a bitter sweet urge.

Hours ,I would spend literally submerged in you tube tutorials, and googling articles. It was so much more meaningful because my dad was learning alongside me. He had always taken pictures of us on vacations and at home, but he got into it so much more when I did.

From there I started with seniors and found my niche, I LOVE portraits. It’s not just the posing and making my seniors feel fierce. It’s the connection and new friend I get to make. Some people don’t understand how awesome it is to not just have a client, but actually get to know them and see what we have in common.

Getting into photography was something that has literally changed me as a person. I’ve changed my view on people and the world around me. I’ve been able to express myself in new ways. Created good and bad relationships. Don’t fool yourself if you think everyone is going to LOVE you. Heck you don’t love everyone, but you’ll find your people. When you do, then you’ll know why I got into photography. It’s the love of creating something and being able to share it with everyone.

It more than just photographs to me , it’s emotion, art, and memories.

XOXO
