Meg + Kevin Sunrise in Boulder,Colorado

WOW I am so thankful for this community that I am part of. I have learned that photographers tend to be my favorite kind people, proof being these two. Meg and Kevin who were so willing to trust someone across the country to take their sunrise portraits.

Plannning

While planning my trip to Colorado I had talked to other photographers to see if they would want to get behind the camera. Meg was one of the first people to say heck yeah and we made it happen. I already miss these two. They were so kind to not only take time out of their day to do this for me, but also we got to know one another over breakfast in the town.

Day of

To paint the picture, we met on top of this overlook of the Colroado rockies. When I pulled up it was dark since the sun hadn’t risen yet, but then it started peeking out. Once it did, I was SO wide eyed. The sky exploded with beautiful pink and purple colors and instantly was a warm glow in the air. Waking up early for this sunrise was all more worth it seeing this all unfold.

Meg + Kevin,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being one of the most free spirited humans. Ya’ll are the few that were so down to get up at sunrise to take pictures. So glad you get it haha. I am blessed that our path’s have crossed and I can’t wait til they do again.

Also they wrote me THE sweetest review ever:

“Our time with Michaela was first class. Not only did she capture the essence of our relationship, she created and gave us an experience that was enjoyable from start to finish. We felt immediate comfort with Michaela’s sweet personality, professionalism, and preparedness. This is my favorite sunrise that I’ve ever shared with my partner, and our memories are lovingly tied to these photographs forever. What an incredible gift! As the clicks of the shutter ticked down the moments of our session, we had to part ways all too soon. Thinking back to our time with Michaela, it feels like we slept in and dreamed out loud. The photographs mirror this sentiment. 5 stars.”
