Behind the New Website Launch

In all honesty I really felt that I needed to explain a little of the story behind the new website launch. I started my business at only 15. It wasn’t some long love for it since I was young, It was more like an impulsive decision last minute. Meanwhile I was only a sophomore so clients were older than me and I had to get them to trust me. Starting a business at such a young age put me through so much. I have changed my photography style over 10 times. I have changed my logo more than I can count. Even changed the way I run my business from paper and pen to a software online. With change there was growth. I have grown more comfortable in my own skin allowing me to be more vulnerable with my clients and followers. What motivated this change of heart for my website is that I wanted to create my own internet home that really felt like me in this chapter of my life/ business.

Some more change happening here is that my logo no longer says Michaela Kessler Photography. The reason for that is that I want to grow. In the fall I will be attending Robert Morris University, and there I will be going for a marketing degree. I want to be able to help other businesses thrive and grow my business as well. I have always had a passion for helping others succeed and seeing that light in their eyes. Creating a brand seemed like the right path from here rather than a business.

If you know me you know that I can’t help being involved. I love being apart of things and being hands on. Because of this, I felt that using a template from With Grace and Gold ‘s shop. Over the past few months I have logged onto my show it site every single day editing and adding things into the site. When i say everyday… it was literally EVERY DAY! In school when I should’ve probably been working on an essay I was working on finding my colors. When I should’ve been studying I was figuring out how to put who I am and what I stand for on a website. I am so thankful for my uncle Kris who designed my bomb ass logo, my mom for spending days helping me figure my wording, and my friends for being the biggest supporters out there.

XoXo,

Mic
